YouTube Chat Guidelines

WELCOME

Welcome to our live stream chat! We are committed to fostering a friendly, welcoming, and positive community where everyone feels respected and valued. To ensure that everyone can enjoy the stream, we ask that you follow these simple rules: 

1. BE RESPECTFUL

Please treat everyone with respect and avoid using language that is hateful, discriminatory, or offensive. This includes but is not limited to:
a. Bullying, name-calling, or other harassment of channel viewers or the streamer.
b. Making derogatory and/or discriminatory comments about someone’s race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, or other identity markers
c. Using profanity or vulgar language, even in short-form
d. Posting spam, solicitation, or inappropriate content.
e. Engaging in provocative, trolling, disruptive, or inflammatory behavior
f. Discussing controversial topics, or off-topic subjects completely unrelated to aviation that might derail the focus and enjoyment of viewers (religion and politics are off limits).

2. BE CONSTRUCTIVE

We welcome constructive comments and suggestions that can help improve the stream. Please avoid making negative comments that do not add anything to the discussion. Do not tell the host or moderators what to do, where to go, nor demand that the host follow your suggestions or viewpoints. The host has the final say on where to go and what to do, and often has specific reasons for the camera placement, and will not compromise safety or legality just because you want to be closer to a fence. If it bothers you that much, come on out and stream yourself from your desired location. Feel free to say, “I have a great idea for a spot,” but avoid “You should have…” type comments. They are unwelcome.
(NOTE: If you feel you are being helpful by telling people NOT to contribute due to some “Big YouTube” conspiracy or percentages taken, you’re not. Do not do it. It is not helpful. This is one of the only ways our channel can be sustainable, and every dollar helps. You will be instantly banned. HOWEVER, if you encourage others to donate via PayPal as a positive, *constructive* way of helping the channel to avoid service fees, that is different. Subtle difference between constructive and destructive. Thanks.) 

3. BE ATTENTIVE

 Listen to moderators: Our moderators have the final say on what is and is not appropriate in the chat. Please respect their decisions and follow their guidance. They have been hand selected to ensure a smooth, fun, process, and I have asked them to ban those that do not follow the guidelines, and they may do so without warning or notice. 

4. HAVE FUN

 We are here to enjoy the stream and share our passion for aviation. Let’s keep the chat positive, engaging, and constructive!

By participating in the chat, you agree to abide by these rules and help us create a friendly and welcoming community. Failure to follow these rules may result in your messages being deleted, or you being temporarily or permanently banned from the chat without warning or explanation.
